The Batch Identify tool was added in Specify 7.12.1, so all you’ll need to do is update your Specify 7 instance to the latest release and it will be available for you!

As for your question about the queries being ‘frozen’, the TimestampModified and TimestampCreated values should be updated as soon as you save any changes. It sounds like your Specify 7 instance is using a different database entirely. I would check to see if the connection details between Specify 7 and Specify 6 are identical, as your Specify 7 instance might be connecting to a database inside of a MariaDB container (as is the default with our all-in-one deployment) while your Specify 6 instance may not.
